BEDFORD, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spire Corporation (SPIR), a global solar company providing turnkey solar factories and capital equipment to manufacture photovoltaic (PV) modules and cells worldwide, today announced it has appointed three new companies to represent Spire internationally: Servo Dynamics Co., Ltd. in The People’s Republic of China; Energy Control Systems for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; and PV Middle East for the Gulf Arab States.

Servo Dynamics Co. is one of the leading automation and industrial solution providers in the Asian-Pacific region. They are dedicated to promoting and providing solutions for motion control technologies and developing business opportunities for mechanical and electronic motion control companies. Servo Dynamics will support Spire’s expanding activities in The People’s Republic of China.

Roger G. Little, Chairman and CEO of Spire Corporation said, “It is crucial for Spire to enhance our strong presence in China. China is one of the biggest countries involved in the solar industry and its solar growth potential is outstanding, driven by both international markets and new government policies which will accelerate their solar demand.”

“Energy Control Systems has been chosen to represent Spire in Pakistan. The core business of Energy Control Systems has been silicon-based technology. Spire finds this area important since the Pakistan Alternative Energy Board is actively seeking ways to enhance solar power production.”

“PV Middle East will represent Spire in the Gulf Arab States including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.”

Mr. Little continued, “The solar industry is booming in Pakistan and the Gulf Arab States. Kuwait’s Ministry of Energy and Water is actively researching solar power prospects, Abu Dhabi launched a $10 billion program dedicated to renewable energy, and Qatar is positioning itself to be a major player in the global solar industry in the next five to six years. Spire is taking advantage of each of these opportunities by making our presence know in these areas.”
